Outstanding melodies with well conceived dynamics.

i think this band is fantastic, and the guys are some of the nicest people i have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

well i think they are one of most over-rated new (or not so new by now) bands. i don't think their guitar parts are that good, songs structure is not as many people say breathtaking etc etc. however i do enjoy their albums, but don't think their all that great. overall NOT CRAP with :W: 6

Saw these guys about 3-4 years ago. Christ, they were loud. They hit some frequency that made me feel dizzy and generally fucked up for over 3 minutes. I also remember thinking that one of the guitarists had an excellent beard. Real classy.

Yes, their recent hip-factor makes me cringe, but I remember thinking that it was a great performance. I have that first record around here somewhere, but for now, NOT CRAP.

NOT CRAP. A part of me wants to say that there are a ton of bands who do this kind of thing better, but at their best, Explosions In The Sky are still pretty darn good.

Well, Explosions in the Sky is a pretty great name, but that doesn't really count for anything here.

I appreciate their melodic intricacy and delicacy, but they just don't deliver the grandeur their name promises. In the end, I'm left uninspired.

Crap, but I abstain from voting because I don't dislike them enough.

I remember watching that movie Friday Night Lights and thinking that the music was kind of cool- it seemed really awkward for a football movie though- like they should've put in some rockin' jock anthems in there or whatever, but worked just as well. Other than that and a few cuts from their last one, haven't heard much...but not crap.

Overall, a pretty tight band. though their name i cannot deal with. if anyone has seen the movie "Friday Night Lights", then you'll know every song they play is from EITS.
