Do anthologies count? Like, the blue and red "greatest hits" albums?

12:

Rubber Soul
Revolver
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Magical Mystery Tour
The Beatles
Let It Be
Abbey Road
Past Masters Vol. 2
Anthology 2
Anthology 3
Greatest Hits (Red)
Greatest Hits (Blue)

The last two are LP sets inherited from my folks. I guess I have more Beatles albums than I realized, but it's all really obvious stuff...

I've got all my mom's old LPs, including her Beatles records from when she was in HS. Alas...

No mono Rubber Soul or Revolver, just the first few, and...

No Butcher pasteback (even though she had two copies of Yesterday, and Today)...

All the stuff after Rubber Soul is either my own or Mrs. Geiginni's (Mom felt that at the point Revolver came out they had "gotten too wierd" since they "were using drugs and tripping all the time". She didn't buy another Beatles record until the 70's when she finally got the 67-70 anthology.

My favorite is a Dutch Parlophone first pressing of Revolver I got super cheap when I was in high-school.

I also bought 3 or 4 session tape bootlegs in the early 90's when I was into that kinda thing.

I've never really been a fan. There are a couple of tracks here and there and of course I understand how important they are, but on an emotional level I'm not really getting it, it all sounds very calculated. I'd rather listen to the Beach Boys.

zero. not because i actively avoid them. just because i've never been compelled to buy any of their albums for any reason.

Before the Beatles compact discs were released, I used to buy all of the American albums (e.g., hacked up versions of "A Hard Day's Night", "Help!", "Rubber Soul" and "Revolver"; dumb dollar compilations like "Yesterday... And Today") and re-record them to cassette in the sequence of the British releases.

Ah, youth.

Anyway, this approach really drove up the album count.

Hey, I still love The Beatles. What a great band!

i've got all of them, plus a few bootlegs... the studio sessions are not listenable for enjoyment, but they sometimes serve as good sampling fodder.
