I'd love to know what you think he did to aid in the demise of rock music. I thought he was one of the good ones....

I rank MTV at the top of the list, and next to that publications such as Spin and Rolling Stone.

If there were no MTV, there would be no bands like Puddle of Mudd or Linkin Park in the first place.

hope i don't make too many enemies with this one... i really can't hold my tongue, cause i just hate these guys so bad... totally irrational and i'll lose every argument i ever get in about it. but the feelings are undeniable nonetheless...

Velvet Underground. ugh.

I really don't mean to offend anyone here and I am not trying to be mean in any way, but this thread is very pointless and unnessesary. First of all, the music that you label "rock" is not dead. I think you are just looking in the wrong places. In fact, I would say "rock" is alive and well. It seems like you are just listing bands or musical figures that are obviously terrible. There is no real substance in this thread. And if there is a discrepency over a band or figure, such as Brian Eno, well, there is room for that in the Crap/Not Crap forums.
