End Hits is my first choice as well. It's commonly regarded as their worst moment, though (well, besides Steady Diet)
Red Medicine
The Argument/Furniture EP
13 Songs/In on the Killtaker (tie)
Repeater +3
Steady Diet of Nothing

Oh, and the Instrument soundtrack would be between 13 Songs and Repeater, it's pretty unusual but it's also a pretty enjoyable listen.

Repeater (for nostalgiac reasons)
Argument
13 Songs
End Hits
Instrument
Margin Walker
Steady Diet Of Nothing
In On The Killtaker
Red Medicine
(these last three are pretty recent purchases, so I haven't really digested them enough to make a distinction)

And now before I re-order them yet again, I will submit

Though I only own two (and have listened to "The Arguement" via borrowing from a friend), here's how I feel:

1. Red Medicine
2. The Arguement
3. Steady Diet of Nothing

*I think people could make this thread more interesting if they explained why they like the albums they do... each one is good for its own reason (i.e. The Arguement is really well arranged, Red Medicine has a good variety of textures, and Steady Diet is very evenly good-- when I first bought it I was amazed at how easily you could listen to the entire thing, beginning to end.)

Ok

End Hits: First, because it just works perfectly to me. It's sonically and dynamically very interesting, the songwriting is excellent, and it sounds huge. Everything clicks. Also, it's recent enough to avoid having been overplayed.

Repeater: most songs are excellent, they really came into their own as far as arrangements (maybe their strongest asset) are concerned here. Used to be my favourite.

In On The Killtaker: lots of excellent songs, very energetic, which I always prefer, also, the first of their "sonically conscious" albums, more for the ear in it. Also, "Instrument" is here.

13 Songs: most songs are great, but they went on to better things, in all aspects.

The Argument: Very interesting album, but not as compelling as the others. Also, the recording sounds kinda muffled, and that makes the album a little less exciting to hear, for my taste. But it's an incredible record for a band this old, not stale at all.

Red Medicine: Some excellent songs, but I find it hard to listen to all the way through. I'm also not crazy about the way it sounds.

Steady Diet: just lacks some kind of drive, and even the better songs aren't as good as the good ones on other albums. Something about the production is also lacking, too clean, maybe, or not enough low end.

I've never listened to Furniture, and I don't have a strong opinion on Instrument.

I love "In On the Killtaker" and think its easily the best in terms of power and songwriting and production

It was also the Fugazi first album I brought. I picked it up without even knowing who they were when I was about 16... It changed my life, so I could be a little biased.

In fact I think I'll rev it up on iTunes right now!
