To any non-grillers in Chicago, Nina Nastasia is doing an essentially unadvertised show at Schuba’s on Labor Day. It was just booked a couple weeks ago. Christmas Day was already taken.
Nina’s in town to do some recording at Electrical. She’s playing the show with Jim White (drums) and Steven Beck (piano). There’s a link below, for those interested. Hopefully this isn’t a double post.

i'm confused by this - is this nina and jim white as on the new record, with jim from dirty 3 playing drums with her? is that also him on that myspace link singing and playing guitar?

basically i wanna watch the dirty 3 jim white play drums again cuz he's great. do i go to this show? i don't know what he looks like - last time i saw them live was 1997.

I'm going to assume the Schubas folk just googled Jim White and cut and pasted whatever they could find. I'm sure you can bet on Dirty Jim White to be playing, not Athens Jim White.
