Holy shit, I really love this album. One of my faves of all time.

That's the thing, even if you don't really dig Dre's voice, there are so many other good rappers on this album that you won't be bored for that long.

Plus: Lyrical Gangbang samples When the Levee Breaks for the beats. Fantastic ...

Steve Carrell was my favorite part of the movie by far, but as one reviewer I read aptly put it, he's basically playing a grown up Ralph Wiggum. Still, the first time you're introduced to the character, he's shoving mayonnaise into a toaster.

The movie kinda falls apart in the last half an hour ...

Channel 101 is fantastic, probably my favorite website right now.

The Most Extraordinary Space Investigations series is probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life and a pinnacle of stoner humor. Plus Sarah Silverman is in it. A lot of other stuff on the site is great, too.

There are a bunch of bands in that lineup that I would like to see... not to mention it'd probably be one of your last chances to see LSF as they're on a "hiatus" at the moment.

The Gris Gris are pretty rad live, too, although I haven't checked out their album yet.

Don Caballero is probably my favorite band overall. I caught two of the "reunion" shows and while the covers of their earlier material were not too hot, they played a number of new songs that I got a bootleg of from easytree or something and listen to rather frequently. Not as good as What Burns ...

Isn't the point of any discussion to "veer into disputable territory"? Jeez. Who cares.

"Lost Cause" and "Telegraph Melts" are the two I keep retuning to but to be honest I think it is the power of his whole body of work that is most impressive. If you want to order all of his CDs you get them for like $4 each. Most are in print as CDs.

I got Telegraph Melts a while ago and it's pretty good. Maybe in time I'll check out some more of his stuff... it's pretty interesting but it's not my top priority musically.
