I walked past this somewhat overwraught statue in Hyde Park today:



The title of the statue was engraved on the plinth beneath the horseman. It read:

Physical Energy

Above the inscription someone had added in indelible marker:

(The Human Imagination of)

Which made me laugh.

we had a lot of stupid stuff written in the bathroom where I work. Most of it political.

we had your typical "your stupid" and "you shit too much" but we also, (maybe this was unique to this particular girls bathroom) had a venerable advice column going. The first one was "do you think its okay to be in love with two men at one time?" and people gave relatively thoughtful answers (on a bathroom stall no less!)

someone wrote "I'm graduating in december" and they got a whole lot of congratulations and some "good luck finding a job" and someone wrote of their aim to get into law school.

There was, of course, lots of political banter still on there from the elections, dealing with financial aid, and who's bombing who (I work at a university) but the boy problems and their answers were always the best to read.

No one liners here, but interesting regardless. They are re-doing the bathroom now, though. No more loveline bathroom stall style.

Ah Shit! You beat me to it! Yes Classy, the Music Cafe in Columbia, MO. Fun night that was. The bartendress was as drunk as the rest of us.

I was really, really reassured when I walked in to a toilet in Paris and saw graffiti to the effect of:

and right next to it:

J'ai niqué ta mere, putain

It's nice to know that "if you want a blow job, call me" and "I fucked your mum" are wholly international graffiti universals.

at the pilot light in knoxville:

On a flavoured condom machine at the Garage, London: "this gum tastes of rubber!"

On the condom machine at Lounge Ax:

"For refund, insert baby"

In the toilets of a venue where bands advertised themselves via graffiti:
