what happened to Boas?

Graeme Gibson told me they broke up because they were having trouble writing new material. That was at least two years ago.
I thought they were pretty good. This is known as the "death knell" for any Chicago band.
The M's, I hope you are going to be the exception to this rule.

3that's a shame, I like the record a great deal...
They could've just done a record of reworked Modest Mouse covers or something to bide time... ha

4All of the BOAS guys are kinda floating around, still playing music, just not as a group. Graeme is first call engineer at Clava Studio, and worked on the "Thinking of you" record that Freakwater released last fall (among other things). Gabe, the bass player, still does some pick up shows with Graeme under several names. Sometimes Nate, the keys player works with them too. John Klos, the singer, did a record with us at Clava last year, but for the life of me I can't remember the name he was using as his band, and they haven't done much with recordings either (as far as I've been able to tell...).
Graeme works the bar at Rainbo...if you ever get there, you might ask him about what those guys are all doing. I know he put a lot of personal energy in that band and the recordings, and was pretty depressed for a while 'cause they didn't really get very far with them...
