62No Comment's "downsided" EP on slap-a-ham is the most articulate going insane record I can think of. The lyrics are absolutely incredible, especially considering the guy only gets an average of 25 seconds per song to get the point across. Maybe that's why it's great.
The music is no joke either. Great band.

I second this, John W. I listened to this so much last spring as a soundtrack to my own crazies. My associations with it being a soundtrack to hurty-heart craziness are too strong to pull it out regularly anymore.
Which is too bad because it is a fantastic piece of work.

64The Songwriter by Arthur Doyle, solo free sax & singing, listening to it always makes me feel like I am painting in a room that lacks proper ventialition

Exact same thing for me happens with Chris Bell's 'I am the Cosmos' <shudder>

66The Lapse "In Truth Loved" or The Breaks "White Pigeons" whatever you want to call it. same album, same degree of amazing unhinged excellence.

Skip Spence's "Oar."
That double live Fushitsusha CD would work.

didn't really read the thread. i just wanted to know if i was the only one lame enough to actually call out the obvious. doesn't sabbath have some other tunes about insanity? i've never been good with song titles or lyrics.

Ha! I searched for "Skip Spence" but I didn't search for "Skip Spence's" and therefore didn't see it turn up in this particular thread -- totally busted! I should've read the posts more carefully.
