If it's truly "British," then why isn't there any Thin Lizzy on the list? Or Van Morrison?
Although I've never even heard the Arctic Monkeys, I think it's pretty safe to say that it would be impossible for a band called "the Arctic Monkeys" to make a better record than Revolver or even London Calling.

The jam sound affects.
no squeeze.
Would you be offended if I said you have the musical taste of shower algae?
Not at all.
But bear in mind i do own about 6,000 cds alone. not counting vinyl.
so these are a tiny amount.

But! It is entirely possible for their record label to have many thousands of pounds to pay for this 'advertising!'

And this 'advertising' very likely includes lots of free stuff accompanying press packets as well as lavish parties that NME critics get to attend.

18As is usual with all 'greatest lists' (and this has got to be the 100th 100th Greatest Albums Of All Time list I've seen), the inclusion of two or three real stinkers and a lot of now-tedious memory joggers of times past throws the quality of the whole thing into question. Music critics, the public, all the same old stuff. I'd like to see the top 100 albums by milkmen, or deep sea divers, or recording engineers, or QCs, or anybody. That might be interesting.
But I vote CRAP merely on the grounds that a record by Muse is ten places higher than Blue Lines, which in my opinion is still the best British record of the last twenty years.
That ordering is incorrect. This is not an opinion, this is fact. A provable fact. Not opinion. Fact.

Arctic Monkeys are on Domino records. isnt that a proper indie label?
for what its worth (...) i think its a class album but obviously its a bit wierd having it in the top ten 3 days after it got released...
dog man star should be higher, more bowie, abbey road, pink floyd would be nice
I think you're all fucked in the head. We're ten hours from the fucking fun park and you want to bail out. Well I'll tell you something. This is no longer a vacation. It's a quest. It's a quest for fun.
