I'm glad you got your cat back.

Thanks man, and sorry.

I find myself constantly surprised by the strength of my attachment to our pets; I'm sure it's the same for most people. 14 yrs is an age that our (very fat) oldest she-cat will never reach; you must have looked after yours well.

I used to have a kitty that liked to play escape artist and hang out at various houses in the neighborhood.

Some cats just can't be monogamous. Even so, they make you worry so much until you find them.

Is this cat allowed to go outside usually? Did the collar have contact info on it? And, did you call or stop by the house where he/she went last time?

Please kitty, please come home.........
The cat with the toast, once it's free in the air, will float at its cat-toast equilibrium point, where butter repulsion forces and cat forces are in balance.

One of the two cats I kept before moving house (they live with some friends, now, I live too near their old patch which could be dangerous) did suddenly disappear once for at least a week. We were really panicked, and spent most of the night checking behind every door, under every bed to find her but to no avail. Anyway, as I said, she did eventually return, and it came to light that she'd developed a habit of sneaking into a neighbours' garage and pinching their food.

She still stays out for days, from time to time.
