no one can top (in lack of technique, i mean) the drummer from Operation Ivy, who's name i can't remember. i was really into Op. Ivy in 9th grade, a time at which i knew jack shit about drumming, and i was still able to identify him as a terrible drummer. no bass-pedal technique at all, ill-composed-and-executed fills, and use of tremendous speed and stamina in a vain attempt to cover it all up.

...of course, there were a lot of bad drummers in a lot of bad punk bands. perhaps we should rule them out.

phil rudd's drumming is pretty much perfect for AC/DC's music.

But Lars Urich totally sucks ass. I just noticed this last week, while bowling, as I haven't heard a song from Ride the Lightning for a number of years.
