a thing to do: download this thing, add fake drums from fruity loops, export whole album in 64kbps mp3 format, burn an audio cd, copy it on a cassette and transfer to a pc with a mic jack on some shitty on-board card in a wave format. compress it to 128kbs mp3 and put it online on every p2p program available. notify the band that 1.000.000 people have downloaded it. if this happens RHCP heart will surely explode.

I disagree with him. Every band has their music downloaded illegally. Most of it by me.

With the internet all music is available for free and people have much more exposure to new music. When I was younger I spent a small fortune buying albums on reccomendation and hating them.

Personally I download a reccomended band's album and if I like it I'll go and buy their others and eventually the one I downloaded to begin with. Lots of bands have earned a new fan this way. Other bands have lost a potential fan on the merit of their music and not on the basis of advertising and reviews.

Millions upon millions of people don't even do this. They download exclusively - their entire music collection being on cdrs/harddrive.

Now if small bands can survive with this going on then a bunch of millionaires like RHCP can go fuck themselves.
