Actually, I prefer the British version of this fact sheet, mainly because of this additional section:

"Some [race horses] are shot within weeks of when their money-making days are over, and many others are slaughtered and their bodies sold as meat to Continental shops and restaurants. Their flesh may even end up back on British shores after it is made into pastrami, salami or chorizo."
