when something is the biggest deal EVER, and everybody everywhere is talking about it like mad, for anywhere from a day to several months, however long it takes for you to become entirely disinterested in something that was a real "big deal" just a short time ago. to give it to you too much for too long. can also be used to deliberately desensitize, oversaturate your tolerance. but it's probably usually just a byproduct of them wanting to give you whatever they determine you want, in an effort to make money.

like talking about the democratic candidates during the convention. or the war in iraq. for sure the gitmo and abu graib happenings. up next it might be the guys certifying their spacemobile. or some political shit, some attack, hell, i've heard at least one guy say he's tired of the WSOP/Celebrity Poker media event we're in the midst of. shortly, it'll be the olympics. can i get an "Xtreme ______!"
