Window. Broken.

So I work at Midway, my new shift is one where I get off at 5pm.
Traffic is a motherfucker these days.
I decide to take Cicero all the way to Addison, then up to my pad. 94 is just too fucked, and LSD is no better for where I'm lookin to get.
This goes thru the edge of the ghetto, not the worst shit you'll see in Chicago but right on the edge so there's enough nasty spillover to make it a bit hairy.
I am at a red light and a dude runs up and hurls a chunk of a cinder block thru my back window, the little one on the door not the big back one....
It shatters all over and he laughs like a crazy fuck and spreads his arms open and says 'What?! What?!' He's about 5 feet from my car as he's doing it.
I didn't know what to say back to him, I was actually at a loss for words.
I just kind of made a 'what the fuck?!' gesture with my hands.
He says 'Yeah bitch yeah! That's right' and some other gibberish I didn't really catch.
Anyway, anyone have a good cheap place to get a window fixed?
Every place I'm calling wants over a hundred bucks and fuck that, I just won't have a window if it's gonna cost me that much.

That really sucks. Sorry.

I got someone for ya. Paul Singh at North Center on Lincoln and Berteau. Most trustworthy guy in the business. I know he's saved my friend some money on a broken window in the past. He also got me free tickets to Sox/Cubs, just cause I am Sox fan as well.

When you go there, tell him Ryan Rezvani (Rez-vah-knee) told you about him. (you don't have to pretend that we are friends - cause we're not!!!!)

I'm gonna tell him that we used to be friends but you are a racist now and I can't hang out with racists anymore, by court order.

If it makes you feel any better I finally made a noise complaint on my neighbor who has been sitting in his "finely-rimmed" truck listening to the most innane hip hop/rap music from 3 pm-10pm every day this week!

I watched thru the blinds as the cop rolled up and told him to turn it down. This made me very happy inside.

Listening to that shit for the past few days INSIDE MY HOUSE has made me quite disagreeable and not a huge fan of rap music and/or thoughtless neighbors.

Nothing like getting a brick thrown through your window though.

So, I'm sure you've been playing the "Man, I should have just......."-game though, right?

So what "shoulda" you done? If you had it to do again, of course.

that really sucks--- cicero is waaay sketchy.
here's an idea, take cicero to 290, 290 to lower wacker, lower wacker to LSD, then north. lower wacker to LSD is amazingly quick!

as for a new window, try evanston auto glass (?) on dodge ave north of main st. they're really good.

good luck!
