Oh, if only I were God.............

Lynyrd Skynyrd (is that how it's spelled? I guess i'll have to ask the
remaining 1/3 of the original, since the rest of the guys
don't know what's going on)

Velvet Revolver (just tell Slash to put the guitar down and pull Scott
Weiland's pants up for fuck's sake!)

Blink 182 (allright, the joke is over now, guys)

There's alot to choose from, but I will pluck from the recent wave of radio shite tree.

*Good Charlotte - I don't know where the whole glam-pop-punk make-up wearing thing came from (or how it became popular???)... but this shit has GOT to go. I've seen an interview with these guys, and they actually think they're tough. It's hilarious. CRAP!

*Linkin Park - Wow... rap-metal fueled by hatred for parents and the perils of being alone. It's really funny that 2 of their biggest hits have nearly identical opening keyboard/guitar (whatever the sound is) riffs. When listened to back to back... you can tell they just transposed the riff and made a new "big hit" out of it. CRAP!

*System of a Down - Boy... this is digging deep. This is hands down some of the worst music I have ever had the displeasure of hearing. This guys voice is so fucking bad. This is a must listen if you have the urge to see how bad music really can get (check out that song "Chop Suey"). CRAP!

If I had a 4th spot... it would be either Slipknot or Korn. I forget which is which anyways.

The 3 bands mentioned earlier are proof that a million people can be, and are wrong!
I could have been a contender...

This is an easy one for me.

#1) Coal Chamber - When your entire band is based upon ripping off already horrible bands like Korn (see number 3), well, that's just pathetic and sad....

#2) Slipknot - Everytime I see this band, I laugh about how stupid they look. I get this really embarrassed feeling in the pit of my stomach, like I'm embarrassed for them at making such fools of themselves. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. It makes it just really difficult to watch this band for me.

#3) Korn - The bass playing alone makes me want to kill myself. They should spend less time braiding their hair and more time learning how to tune their guitars! The bass doesnt even follow the music in any way, shape, or form, and its EQ'ed in such a way that its a weak click noise whenever a string is hit. Also whenever I see them on TV headbanging and "getting into the music" I get that embarrassed feeling in the bottom of my stomach again. It really puzzles me how people can do that to themselves.

I was going to say my list was way to big to post on this forum or even on every data bit space on the whole internet...
...but then I thought about Sugar Ray. You know that band? They are really popular and the main guy looks just like Ethan Hawk? I want to harm things when I see or hear them.

It's been a while since I've really cared about mainstream music, so even though I think Korn and Slipknot really suck, they don't bother me. So I won't bother them. I'd rather smite the following three bands:

Hot Hot Heat
The Blood Brothers
The Locust (Good band, but sorry, they gotta go.)

Indie music is increasingly becoming more about image and fashion than music. Any band with a fanbase made of post-ironic hipsters wearing sideways trucker hats and girls' pants needs to get vaporized. I'm not sure how much longer I can stand to go to all-ages shows and feel like I'm on Queer Eye For The Straight Guy.

I work up really hungover, so I'm in a pretty surly mood. Sorry.
Police Teeth: we like Void so much, we decided not to sound like them.

Oh wait, I have another. Smashmouth. These mainstream bands are more offensive in my eyes in that they are pervasive. I think I could go the rest of my life without hearing a HotHotHeat song or even a Korn song but bands like Smashmoth are EVERYWHERE. You can not freaking escape them.

Ugh.
