i'm pretty sure it's not in print, but i also haven't seen a t&g mailorder catalog recently.

No - you wouldn't see them there, but I think he means the re-issues the band themselves did ("Latino Buggerveil" - wtf?) and I haven't seen any of those around in a while, but that's just my experience down here in the St. Louis area...

yeah, they're still around. at least i've been able to find "Psychic/Powerless" and "Hairway to Steven." somehow (probably because i've never met the guys) i've managed to separate my personal grudge from the music (even though Psychic/Powerless sucked a ratcock in my humble opinion). however, i would be extremely surprised (and some lucky schmucks are going to inevitably win a lot of money) if they show up on Labor Day weekend, even in attendance.

as far as the other bands, i was thinking maybe the Necros might make an appearance. that would be a cool way to homage Rusk's good work for the last 25 years. i've been rooting for either Big Black or Rapeman, but there's also a quantifiable chance i'll be hit by an asteroid on my way home. maybe Die Kreuzen. maybe Rodan. who knows.

and i just noticed the Ex are playing. this makes me very excited.

Who do you think the 2 Unconfirmed bands are going to be?

T&G numbers 01&02; Necros and The Fix.
That's what I think.

My understanding (from a source in a position to know) is that there was talk of Blight getting together to do some shows to support the new comp T&G is putting out, but Mike Achtenberg didn't want anything to do with it, so it's not going to happen. Given that, I somehow doubt that he'd be any more interested in a Fix reuinion (and I don't think Craig Calvert, aka Roxie Bombay aka blues guy with Jan James, would be up for it these days either). And seeing that by all accounts most of the members of the Necros hate each others guts, I wouldn't bet the rent money on that, though I always relish the opportunity to watch Barry Henssler humiliate himself, so I hope I'm wrong.

[in response to above post, so i don't have to re-quote it:]

the thing i keep thinking is, "they've deliberately put off announcing these last two bands. there's gotta be a reason. it'll be a real let down if they've already announced Killdozer and Scratch Acid and the Dijits and don't have anyone to top them." that's why i think the Necros might play, because no one would expect it. i can't think of another band that would have more of a reason to play this thing that people would be more excited to see.
