I'm assuming that she's hooked on her "medicine" again, and seeing how the loan dude is a renowned junkie, she most likely went out to score. Seeing the previews for next week appear to confirm this.

I love this show. I don't know the name of the guy who plays Sweringen, but he's amazing. I had recorded the show last night and watched it later, and had to watch the last scene twice, just 'cause he's so good. Deadwood is the only show I currently watch on television, and I think it sucks that it's the last season. It's a shame.

I am at a loss regarding how to describe last night's episode.

i just started from the top a few months ago. i never get to watch tv or movies these days. i have managed to watch the first ten episodes over the last few months. this show is my new favorite drinking partner. i would have never expected to like a television program this much. good fucking work.

That fight scene was exhausting to watch.

This season has been flawless so far - I'm in the habit of watching each episode twice.

On it's way up I believe Deadwood passed Sopranos (on it's way down) as best television show around. Last night's episode was incredible and further proves that point......

Although it saddens me to know that this is the show's last season (aside from the 2 movies), it's nice to know the writers won't ever leave us to suffer through something similar to Season Six of the aforementioned mob show.

Oh and Ian McShane is one bad motherfucker.

What was this business with Alma and the dude getting the loan "signaling" her with his hat? I got up to pee and must've missed something. Little is said about it in the episode guide.

Last night's show revealed that this guy has been dealing drugs to Alma. My guess is that hat-tip was some sort of "I've got the goods for ya'" now. Remember she said right after that, that she was going outside to "take the air" - buy her opium.

Last night's show was stellar!

Last night's episode was eye-popping TV at its best.

I just finished watching the 1st season. It was pretty great for the most part, but the dialog can be a little ovewritten a lot of the time. This, coupled with the actor who plays Swearingen's delivery, gives the show a kind of smug pretentiousness that can get on my nerves at times, especially when compared to the dialog in The Sapranos. Overall though it's a pretty outstanding show.
