Did Dianogah play at the McHenry County VFW hall with Shellac, C-Clamp, Brits Out Of America, etc. back in 1997?

I thought that you had.

The bands rolled dice for show slots. The VFW hall had great sock hockey floors.

Was it hot that day?

Yes, we did play that show, but no one remembers the date. Any ideas? Seam also played, plus a band from McHenry County who described their sound as being somewhere between Shellac and Tar.

We were already talking about playing that song. Besides the three band members I think you must be the only person in the world who knows that song.

You care...but will you come to the show? I don't want to hear the old wife and kids excuse...I invented that excuse. Anything less than polio will not cut it.

What about me? Can I use the wife and kids excuse?

I remember a Dianogah show in Louisville at Joel Hunt's parents' house...don't I? 1996, probably?

Also, I very much enjoyed your drawings in the Tribune this week on my way in on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe line.

Yes, but we couldn't remember the date. You played with ExChittle, right? John Cook (Crain) also played that night in a band called "Experimental Pollen." He kept yelling "Pull my sweater, make me naked."

thanks, mike.

yes, joel hunt's parents' house. clean and fine, except for one little tiny chip on a statue in the living room. how very 'risky business'! all i remember from that show was jon cook repeatedly yelling "pull my sweater, make me naked!" which i think was a reference to weezer's first radio hit, popular at the time.

for the record, we have on tom stack in house at the bird machine today, making a new stackmatic print. he's wearing a stnnng shirt. and we're listening to a shellac song called 'lullabelle'.
"I'm not much for screechin' about elves"
