4this is slightly unrelated, but a good bumping technique... i was record shopping friday and i found a really nice copy of "the song remains the same" and, not having heard it before (blasphemy i'm sure) was absolutely floored.
i'd take sides 2 or 3 on PhysGraf, which is a new monikor i have just now created and we should definitely try to work into the mainstream.

i remember that album being really really bad. or am i thinking the performance from the movie...? is the album the same thing?
if it is, it's probably really bad.

6im torn, here...because the guitar solo in "the rover" is my absolute favorite page recording ever[edit: upon further review, this is probably the greatest guitar solo of all time, in my opinion. and i usually hate guitar solos. listening to this quick little burst from page gives me chills. perfect, and you know he wasnt even trying]. however, in the light, down by the seaside and ten years gone are monoliths of recorded rock and roll.
i refuse to vote.

The track "The Song Remains The Same" is on the album Houses of the Holy. It's a mostly good song on a mostly good album.
The concert movie is entitled The Song Remains The Same. It's a mostly lousy performance, the standout being "No Quarter," the footage of which was interspersed with some wretched costume drama.
As to the poll, it ain't an easy one. If only "In My Time of Dying" was on Side III.... Voting for Side III anyways, on account of "Ten Years Gone."

8"In My Time of Dying" is the real wrench in the works. Hard to pick any side BUT the one that contains it, regardless of the gems on the others.

9Side III is the most consistently gorgeous chunk of tuneage in their catalog.
