They did a split 7" with a band called DisCo with the DisCo track being
a cover of Circle's "Vaneria". Excellent but criminally short.

22anybody heard their two new records yet?
Arkades is an lp of their live performance on WFMU last year. it is quite good. a bit similar to their recent live lps, in that it is abstract and noisy.
Earthworm is a 4 song ep. Circle did the music, then sent the tapes to LA, where bruce, the singer from Jesters of Destiny(who are some 80s metal band that jussi is obsessed with, and i have not heard) overdubbed vocals. i recognized the material as stuff they played on the last tour, though they played the songs instrumentally. it is pretty weird to hear this band with english vocals. also the mix is kinda lousy- the vox are too loud and the instruments are rather indistinct. but the first track totally rips. it gets the thumbs up.

23Yes. Earthworm is a great ep.
This band has easily the most rewarding thing I've gotten out of this forum.
Their records surface here every couple of months. I buy them sound unheard.
Forest was my introduction and still my favorite.
*edited to make me sound less stupid.

"Red Rubber Ball" was penned by a short guy named Paul Simon.
Who proceeded to go directly into the shitter right afterwards.
The Diodes did a good version of "Red Rubber Ball".

28Holy crap, I love the band. I've been on an unstoppable Circle kick for the last few weeks. "Meronia" has been in my ears a lot.

29I can't think of another band so prolific yet consistently good. I think they're at something like 24 or 25 albums now and although some of the earlier stuff is not as strong as they've become since the line up solidified around 2000/2001, none of it is anything approaching bad. Also, they're great live, and wonderful house-guests.

30Got Telescope and Alotus in the mail the other day.
Both are excellent.
Today I won Prospekt on eBay.
When it arrives in the mail, it will be the 18th CD I own by these guys.
