Yeah, I haven't heard it, but I figured they'd go more "post-rock" and I don't need any more of that.

At least the new Neurosis won't disappoint.

It´s true, it sucks. The softness is not really the problem in my opinion, but rather the lack of tension that is build up in those songs. It all sounds like lukewarm lava or something.

I'm a big Isis fan, but i must say i prefer their earlier stuff more than the faffy post-rock output they seem to be making at the moment.

Not heard all the new album, mind.

I can understand where you all are coming from. I got the album the day it came out and i've been listening to it a lot. A few of the songs are pretty good all the way thru (wrists of kings, 1000 shards, dulicena). Can't really make my mind up yet about 'not in rivers but in drops'. The other songs have some good parts mixed in with a bunch of parts that sound as though they wrote them after they decided to go on tour with tool. can't say I really like 'Firdous E Bareen' at all. maybe i need to listen to it more. won't say they've sold out or anything though. the 'in the fishtank' album is fucking amazing

Yeah maybe, but not like a solid rock. It´s really easy o break it in tiny little pieces... you know what i want to say. My English is probably not good enough to describe the kind of rockish thing i think of right now.
