One of the (very, very few) decent guitar soloists in rock music.

But why, when his playing has so much potential, does he hit those highs so rarely? Even when he is "cutting loose" it often seems a bit too under control for my tastes. Maybe too much emphasis on "the notes"?

All that said, Baby's on Fire is what I would refer someone to if they wanted to know what a "guitar solo" was. More of that please, Mr Fripp!

Scary Monsters is the motherfucker for me. I never listened to Crimson a whole lot, but I remember being all over that record when I first started to play guitar and be in bands and stuff.

Still one of my fav. "guitar records" ever!
