I started a C/NC about her a while ago, but no one responded. Am I the only one here? She had a great approach to writing and arrangement, and her never fails to cheer me up.

One of my favorite singers of all time. The "Mambo Nassau" album is actually what I would consider pretty terrible music but her voice somehow saves this Caribbean Pop shit. Her reported friendship with Eric Clapton probably didn't help. The "Press Color" record with the Rosa Yemen stuff is absolute gold. The track "Herpes Simplex" almost sounds like Blonde Redhead, but way before the fact. Best $28.99 I've ever spent on a used CD.
