I just want to say thanks to everyone for all of this great music.
A lot of this I had never heard before. Some of the selections, like Neu!, have inspired me to track down the vinyl versions. Others, like PIL, I had on vinyl but thanks to you I now have copies for my car and my computer.
Salut! The New EA sendspace thread!

(No, not Scissor Sisters!)
Why? Why am I cursed to whiplash my neck at the record store thinking I scored Scissor Girl vinyl when upon further examination it just ends up being the Scissor Sisters? It's like Bad Santa shows up preloading the record aisles...
Seriously. I have been looking for Scissor Girl vinyl for awhile now. Nobody here knows who I'm talking about, and I inevitably get pointed towards the SS.
This made me laugh because I have had the same exact experience more times than I'd care to admit. The Bad Santa analogy is superb!
I am surprised that no one here knew who they were. They were from Chicago.
Download this album, people.
It is very noisey.
You have been warned.

195Okay, here's the first Brainiac installment.

As far as I can remember, these were the first three songs that were started in preparation for the first LP on Interscope (to which they'd signed a deal with). The sad truth is that less than a week after these recordings were made, Tim died in the car accident, that was the end of it all, and we were all extremely sad. Still are. My understanding is that they were intentionally writing a little more in the pocket so to speak for obvious reasons. Interscope would have surely put the hammer down if Brainiac had offered them something along the lines of Electro Shock which, even though was the natural progression of where they were going, just wasn't going to happen with a debut LP on Interscope. This is also yet another reason why we should all be thanking our lucky stars that labels like T&G exist in the first place.
At any rate, sorry for the rambling. If anyone has a problem grabbing this, let me know. Same with those not tuned into Sendspace world.
Oh, I don't know what the common methods are for uploading to Sendspace, but I assumed a .rar file would be fine for everyone. Again, let me know, I'll do what I can if you have problems.

This is the Refraze stuff they did. Refraze was a recording studio (of which I never heard a single really good recording come out of) in the 90's. They won the local band playoffs here in town before they were on Grass (I'm not entirely positive about the timeline). One of the prizes was a certain amount of studio time at the studio. This is what they came out with. I don't think there was a whole lot of stock put into these recordings. Early stuff obviously, so it's got Michelle on guitar, pre-Schmersal.
