Web Browser: Mozilla Firefox

I'm IN LOVE with this web browser, and you should be too. Ditch that Internet Explorer shit asap and get Firefox:

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

It's like TiVo for web browsing - with the AdBlock extension you can block out all those annoying idiotic banner ads that appear on web pages and never have to see them again.

Lessee....let me count the ways in which I love this thing:

- Native support for pop-up blocking

- Imports all your IE cookies, favorites, preferences, etc on installation so that it looks and feels very like your original browser

- Tabbed browsing. Every morning, I right-click on my "Daily" set of bookmarks and choose "open in tabs". This opens all my regular web pages simultaneously as "tabs" - multiple documents within the same Firefox window. The same thing in IE would require multiple windows. Also, when I'm on a news site with a lot of interesting links, I middle-click on all the stories I want and they are all opened in the background as tabs rather than distract me by moving entirely over to that page.

- Giganzolic support for custom extensions - my latest loves are AdBlock and Super Drag 'n Go. The latter allows me to control the browser by drawing with the right button. For instance, one quick line drawn from right to left means "Back". It's a dream to use once you try it. Also loving extensions like "IEView", "Copy As Text", "Image Zoom"...

- Native Google integration.

- It's free, and the download is a teeny 4.5 Mb.

First off, hitting Alt-Tab to switch requires my left hand. I'm using my right hand to browse the web with the mouse, so I don't want to move my left.

Secondly, it's hard to tell which browser instance I want to switch to. With tabbed browsing, I can instantly see a list of my open tabs at the top with descriptions of my currently open pages. With IE, all I see are a half-dozen IE logos on the taskbar.

Thirdly, having a load of IE windows open consumes memory. IE is a hog as it is, so opening up multiple instances of it isn't space-savvy.

Stewie, you know much, any ideas why this is?

I've never had a problem like that, but it may be due to the pop-up blocker since some blogs reveal their comments sections in pop-up style windows. Give me an example of a faulty blog and I'll take a look...
