Figured that might be the response. But they are both basses. So maybe, oranges v. tangerines?

I bought a Kramer bass at Karnes music in the 'burbs of Chicago in '77. It was an early model, singular single-coil, made of bubinga. It sounded awesome and played fine. Neck-heavy but I have no problem with that. A great instrument.

I think the early basses looked a lot better than the guitars.

With all the interest in aluminum necked guitars why are they only produced by Electrical or ancient artifacts that you need to search out? I'd think that every major guitar company would have its own line of aluminum guitars.

the wood inserts always slightly sink out of necks of the kramers.
mine has on one side. doesn't effect anything. I still like it very much.

Its probably a profit thing. the larger companies are making timber guitars quite cheaply and enough people are paying lots of money for them. im guessing that financially its not worth theyre while. Which means its left to people like Kevin at electrical guitar co. (thankfully) to come through with the goods.
