DW 5000TD
I upgraded from a Tama "camco" and I love it. I've tried out the Iron Cobra line, but felt the degree of customization was slightly higher on the DW. Plus I like that the plate is red.

P.S. I had a big muff pi once -- for those electronic pedal jockies on the other thread.

5I'm in between pedals right now. Previously I owned a Tama Iron Cobra (which I liked) but it was a bit heavy and slow, and the foot board wasn't smooth which meant sliding my foot along for doubles or triples was slightly problematic.
So, I'm gonna get an Axis instead. Very adjustable, lighter, and you can get them with an extra long foot board which is completely smooth so sliding is no problemo.
They make excellent hihat stands as well. I'm gonna get me one of them too.

6Yeah, those axis pedals have a really nice feel. They just look kinda crazy, but I guess that shouldn't matter. Very high quality manufacturing for sure.

7sometimes i think my axis is "too" good
i have never come across a more responsive kick pedal
it translates exactly what you put into it
cool for quieter stuff, i reckon you could probably do better for rock

8has anyone heard of a pedal that automatically corrects beats? it has a little battery in it. if, par example, you were doing 8 beats to a bar of four, and happened to miss one, the pedal would think "aha!" and stick one in automatically for you.
fucking rubbish idea...

10DW 5000 for single pedal. Love it. Love it. Love it.
For double bass, I have a Yamaha Flying Dragon direct drive double kick - it's my first direct drive pedal (as opposed to chain or belt drive) and I love it. It is very well built, really customizable and super easy to play double bass rolls on it.
