Yes you did..."enframed" + City Wok guy from South Park = ENFLAMED...a term often used in reference to those like you on message boards.

Tread carefully. This is the post-Imus era.

i could tell during the first track that albini recorded it and noticing that is what brought me to this board. i was curios if i could find out why he recorded them (for the money?). and whether he actually thought it was good.
I think you came to this board to talk shit and get a response from Steve....congrats. If you like the "old" Iggy then listen to Funhouse and Raw Power...if you don't like the new stuff then don't listen to it. Simple. By the way, I don't think Iggy's forcing anything...I've seen the guy quite a few times live and it didn't seem anything like the geriatric spectacle that you imply it should have been by your expert assesment of this album. Also, I don't think Steve recorded the Stooges for the money or because he liked the songs. From what I understand he seems pretty objective when it comes to his job...I'm sure the guy has hated stuff he's recorded before. So what.....part of the job. I don't think he got rich off it either. Again...so what. I get the feeling your dislike of this album is based upon unrealistic preconceptions and/or expectations. Your argument is cynical, obvious and could have been seen miles away....months ago.

Steve Albini just asked to hear your record, here's your chance.
I've never done this before in my life...but there's a first time for everything:
LOL.

Oh, man, yeah, you busted him!
That's not really Steve. That's actually Dave Grohl.
Dave, what was it like working with Steve? I hear he wears a hat.
Sometimes Dave I feel that if we met we'd be really good friends. When I see you on TV and the way you smile it kind of brings hope that one day we'll be together. Do you like hot pockets? I've got something hot in my pocket for you etc. etc. etc..
(sorry, getting a little off topic there).
I haven't heard the record as yet but the stuff they played in December, that was new, I thought stood up proudly against what they had come before. Plus the fact that Ron Ashton now looks like Arthur Lowe from Dad's Army is totally endearing.

i've seen south park but never "city wok guy." no. being "enframed" and "enframing" is something quite different. look them up if you like.

actually i just wanted to know what he thought of the record. so yes, i suppose i did want a response but i didn't think i'd get a response from him. i didn't assume he did it for the money (rhetorical questions go unnoticed sometimes on these message boards) and i know (via interviews) he's recorded stuff he dislikes so i was curious. in interviews he seems open about discussing likes and dislikes.
btw, steve's recipe for sauce mayonnaisse sounds wonderful and i plan on making some very soon.
now why wouldn't my photo post?

I'm sure it had something to do with that "v=0" crap after the .jpg extention. I don't think phbb2 recognizes that.

Here ya go!
