Yes! It's amazing how detailed they've made it. My friends and I spent about ten minutes a piece designing Miis for each other- trying out face shapes and eye angles and mouth height. Do they all hang out in that room together when we're not playing tennis or golf or whatever? After seeing the ads fro the Wii, I knew it was something I needed to try. My old roommate had one and it was awesome. That tennis game alone is worth it. It's so simple yet so much fun.

I bought a Wii yesterday having played it on my trip to Canada. Got lucky, walked into a store and they had just got a delivery three minutes earlier. Spent all last night playing Baseball and now I'm knackered at work.

Anyone recommend any non-cutesy games for this thing? Wii Sports is fun but I'm gonna get bored of it eventually.

I don't know if I can say CRAP or NOT CRAP. It's patently a novelty but still pretty fun. For £180 it's a neat toy I suppose. Wouldn't recommend it to a serious gamer though. 360 has the market cornered in that respect.

My work bought one for an incentives award. Depending on how well your team is doing each week, your team gets to hang out off the phones for an hour and play the Wii.

It was actually pretty fun. As someone who hasn't played video games since the days of Mario 3, it was easy to get the hang of, and more social than other game consoles.

So I say not crap. Not sure if I would take the time to find one at this point.

Godfather. Using the controllers to hurl a guy off a roof or slap up a shopkeeper is gleefully disgusting.

Still, the possibilities for the Wii in terms of "active" gameplay are much more interesting than sitting on my fat ass with a controller for hours on end.

Wii gets a not crap for lonely play...fuck playing this douchebox in public though.

I love the Wii. We spent so much time trying to find one, and finally were able to. It was well worth it. Zelda is fun, but takes far too much time that I do not have. Excite truck, Wii Sports, Wario Ware, all very fun to play with other people, and Super Paper Mario I have recently gotten VERY addicted to. I actually feel like playing Super Paper Mario right now but am trying to resist, as I feel my fiance is getting annoyed with how much I am playing it.

Additionally, the virtual console is amazing. Paying $5 to play Super Mario Bros for the NES as much as I want is totally worth it to me. We have gone a little crazy buying the virtual console games, but we have probably still spent little more than what it costs to purchase one new game.
