It's a notion that perhaps shouldn't be looked at retrospectively, as hard as that is.
There just seems to be something mildly fucking irritating about bands that stick around long enough to release a 2nd album.
Hey, I know what I mean, even if no one else does.
Bands should only be allowed to release one album - discuss
22If the debut were the only thing a band released, there would be a lot more shitty bands. They wouldn't have the time to develop, and mature.

bollocks. they would take the time to develop and mature before releasing their album (if they were a good band that is).

Bad Idea.
"Trout Mask Replica," "Excellent Italian Greyhound," "Goat," "Spiderland," "Pull," "Hex Enduction Hour," "Stella," "Atomizer," "Metal Box,"...sorry, thought I'd just throw a few more TERRIBLE followups out there.\\
Some day, a band will come up with a way of weaseling out of a debut album.

29This is such a bad idea. You can't think of one good second(+) album?

30How about: bands should have to change their names and one other defining factor when releasing their second album.
