Yes.

Really? Ive heard otherwise...and just never bothered...

I've got it, I think it's good, although I haven't listened to it in a long time.

A strong album that is unfortunately overlooked due to its discographical mates. Shakes you up, but not as violently as "Generic" or "Blow'n Chunks."

American Grafishy was the first flipper album i ever heard/owned. It was good enough to get 15 year old me to buy generic and track down gone fishin'.

flipper twist is a great song. i think.

Sweet. Just bought it now and am waiting for it to be delivered.
You guys better be right or you're all out of my will.

It had to have been 1984, as the Entry stage was in the "old" location.

Sounded fucking fantastic. Did you get any tape? Lemme ask while we're on the topic. Did you do any of the Residents or Moterhead shows in 84/85? I remember the sound being flawless. That main stage Einstruzende show in early 85 was great too.

My ears were so fucked after that Swans show.

No, I don't think the tape deck was functional at that time. I didn't do any of Residents or Motorhead sound, I think they had their own soundpeople.

That Swans show. Ugh. Worst people I ever had to work with, and that's saying a lot.

Crazy. That was one of the shows for sure. I wonder who recorded it?
I have suspicions.

hey i did the same thing.
once i got into flipper it got me really into vinyl as well.
started collecting and now i have all the singles and "gone fishin'".
have not worked up to buying "generic" for 75 dollars or "public flipper ltd." for about the same but i'm sure the time will come.

i did find a def american version of generic on cd, though.
as much as i wouldn't support def american by buying flipper, i found it used for 5 dollars with a neat little case.

i think the funniest thing they ever did was the 'brainwash' single in its never ending-ness. fantastic.

ted falconi is great to watch live, all the couple minutes he's not playing with his back facing towards you, you're witnessing some crazy finger placement and technique. this is only coming from the recent seattle show i saw though, i'm far too young to have seen anything else.

ahhh i gush too much about these guys.

Were they assholes? I've heard stories about Gira hitting soundmen to demonstrate the kind of sound he wanted...and that in the mid-'80's they were all shit-drunk and nasty 24-7.
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.
