Neil Campbell - SOL POWR. Out of print. Limited edition Vinyl / Lal Lal Lal 2002.

Paging Chris McGarvey

I'l leave Julian Cope to sell this one:

"Last year, Neil Campbell’s excellent solo LP SOL POWR was released to further mess up the guesstimates of who-does-what in this band. This superb vinyl sounds as though Martin Rev had teamed up with Moebius and Roedelius, during their CLUSTER 2 period. Organs and Casios and (probably) cellos and occasional guitars drive the recording. Were this an official Vibracathedral Orchestra release, it would be one of my favourites."

Awesome! Thanks so much. Brotzmann is outstanding,

No doubt. Thanks so much...this lineup is star-studded, and I know I'll never be able to get ahold of the damn disc.

Anyone have 'Machine Gun' by any chance? I lost my CD some time ago...that was one of my favorite improv records to date.

The original run was on clear vinyl. Not sure how many they pressed but I bought my copy when it came out and it's clear.

Like I said I had never seen it, my copy is certainly not clear, but after I made that post I went on Ebay and found one for 5 bucks. So they can't be too rare. I also found a Four Great Points on clear vinyl. I guess I'm a sucker.

Fire Escape In The Sky: The Godlike Genius of Scott Walker

Over the years I've collected practically everything he's recorded, but this best-of (compiled in the early '80s by Julian Cope) is still my favorite.

Hm, I listen to this and all I hear is Burt Bacharach. And Burt Bacharach ruined the 70s. No need for Nixon or Don Henley. Burt could have done it all one his own.

oooooh, rough trade.

The Isaac Hayes version of "Walk On By"
makes up for quite a bit.

And the Geico commercial.
