newbie looking for musicians

I'm new to Chicago.
I'm looking to start a new musical project.
If this sounds like something you might be interested in, please PM me for details.

..not really sure if this is the appropriate context for this, but craigslist has yeilded nothing, and I figure if any musicians have similar aesthetics, there is a good chance they will be on here.

so go easy on the flaming and such...if you want to know details, what I am interested in doing, just drop me a line, thanks

well like i said pms are best.

but here is the sort of lineup i need:
if it doesn't sound too ambitious/nutty:

female lead singer/vioinist/violist
gtr/loops/etc (me)
keyboardist who can read, w/analog synth, organ, mebbe rhodes, etc
electronics/beats/samples person who can also handle sound
upright bassist/cellist etc...
percussionist/drummer
someone to handle lighting/projections etc.

and although I have demos that demonstrate gtr/songwriting capacity quite well i would rather start w/ an electronics person so i can integrate the more ambient/ textural side of my electric work, purely from improv, and work my way out.

there's more but it would be a bit indulgent to splatter it all ouyt on this baord, heh heh.

no. not much.

the problem i'm seeing w/american bands right now is the formalism, the reliance on a set vocabulary, i.e.,

we're a gtr band,

we're an electro band,

we're a noise band...

which yields all this sameness, from song to song, set to set, album to album.

if you listen to a broad variety of music, your band should refelect it, and that requires a broad pallette of voices available...with the proper chemistry they can be synthesised well enough so it doesn't sound like mere genre hopping.

capiche?
