Actually the joke was that none of them are from the US.

Jokes aside for a minute, it sounds to me like you've mapped this out a bit too much. You've decided exactly what instruments should be in your band and what they should play. I think that's the kind of stuff a whole band should decide, not just the guitarist/loop guy. Don't be Billy Corgan.

I asked because I was genuinely curious. If you had said something like "just looking to get with some local people and rock out. I like Shellac/TJL/CocoRosie, I've got a few ideas. See where it goes," I might've said "hey, let's play." What you're describing doesn't sound like a band, it sounds like a group of people playing your music.
I've seen the bridges burning in the night.

Marsupialized:

Based on yr myspace page:

"Begin by Gathering Supplies deliver an imaginative pastiche of dub-influenced rhythms, well placed, minimal bursts of electronica that range from the psychedelic to the muscular, spare but strikingly ambient guitar textures, earnest and, though never over-wrought, impassioned vocals, and socially conscious lyrics which are refreshing in their personal and prosaic, as opposed to didactic, content. There is definitely a bold fusion stirring here, a mass of creative energy combined with a slinky danceability that a lot of itchy guitar based indie bands should do well to take cues from.'

And you can quote me. Be careful who you insult, jaggoff, it can easily go the other way.

i'm trying to demonstarte that it takes more guts to focus on the positive than ceaselessly insult people.

Dude, you just got here, this is what happens when someone new shows up. Relax, you'll be in the swing of things in no time.
If you want to live amongst and be accepted by the gorillas, you don't just walk over sit down and grab a banana you know. There's a process
