Every now and then I get "Rio" stuck in my head for no reason whatsoever.

Planet Earth is legitimately good.

but not the rest.

New Religion is a good arrangement. Constantly moving with good vocal interplay.

They got a new album coming out next month.
According to some magazine I read the other day, that Timbaland guy produced their new record or some songs on it or something.

Duran Duran wrote some good, catchy pop songs that I still enjoy listening to once in a while. They were never brilliant songwriters or evocative lyricists to my mind, but they wrote some good, catchy pop songs. I too enjoy "Planet Earth."

I'm confused about Timbaland working with them, but also intrigued.

"Ordinary World" is a fantastic song.

A couple of guys I play music with toured with Duran as an opener. They said that the singer and keyboard player were really nice guys and were alot of fun. This was before the full-blown reunion.

I HIGHLY recommend the Night Versions album. Great extended remixes and the 12' version of rio.

No sarcasm at all. I have had that song in my head for most of the day.

re: "Ordinary World" (edit: wow this song got some good ire in the c/nc). I thought it was remarkable that they wrote the best song of their career after reforming.

though their vers. of "911 is a Joke" is a joke. Call the cops.
