It's been posted before, at least the first one...

If I'd been there, that singer would've had a rotten tomato in his face when the, ahem, "rocking" started.
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.

Nah, that's Subtle.

Sorry, I'm afraid I'm gonna play devil's advocate here. The singer is Dose One from (slightly embarassingly named) alternative hip hop collective Anticon. He's been involved in a lot of inventive and original projects in his time, the best IMO being cLOUDEAD, and Dose One and Boom Bip.

Yep, he does sound a bit like a cartoon character, which I imagine probably irritates a hell of a lot of people. That's just his style, and oddly, isn't that far removed from his real voice. I don't mind it, kinda reminds me of Max from the ol' Sam and Max cartoon which I used to love.

The few times I've met some of them, the collective are really cool guys who listen to and are open to a lot of different stuff. I think they were just trying to do a tribute and made a bad decision here, I mean, what's the point of doing a cover unless you can add something to the original? Doing a shellac cover.. it's like, who could do a Slint cover and not get dragged across the coals for it?
