When I lived in Austin, I was running into these guys at improvisation shows. They looked like Cheeky Mods, and that's fine. They were asking us to open for them, so I went to a show. Blah. Destroying equipment, fine. As Jello said "trash a bank if you've got real balls."

Months later, they were on Interscope and media darlings. Double Blah. My roommate bought their CD, and the thanks page inside was about three pages long, basically a kiss-ass to everybody in the indie circles.

Triple Blah.

Also, this is really judgmental, but goddamn it if their artwork totally reminds me of the paintings that the token "goth girl" in art class made in 7th grade.
