HOLY FUCK POLVO REUNITES FOR ATP

this is pretty amazing. I hope they play in Chicago. or maybe I have to make my first trip to Europe? I think i'd probably rather see them in a smaller, more intimate environment if I had a choice. fingers crossed.

Chris, don't feel like you have to them out again. If they're not for you, they are not for you, and that's pretty understandable. If you heard them and thought they were in any way "run of the mill", I'm guessing it's not gonna be your thing, unless you just heard a couple songs that weren't one of their styles that would grab you. They have a pretty wide variety of styles, I think. What kinda sound is your thing? Knowing that would make it easier to recommend an album. Go to tutku's MySpace to hear one of my favorite of their songs. One of like 40, LOL.
"The bastards have landed"

www.myspace.com/thechromerobes - now has a couple songs from the new album

Ding! You got it.

Some of my geekdom about Polvo is probably nostalgia, but in my opinion, their records are some of the best I have ever heard. To boot - everything after Cor-Crane is recorded very well.

so true.

I've been listening to Polvo a lot this month (fall music). Their records hold up surprisingly well--way better than, say, June of 44, a band I used to shit my pants for as well. Their songs don't strike the same chord as Polvo's.
Bloated, yes, but Exploded Drawing is tremendous. As is This Eclipse (this is maybe their best). Shapes was an excellent note to end on.

This band is nearly flawless. I'll be in Ireland when they're playing in the UK. This is almost too much to pass up.

FUCKIN' A!
