I currently have about 6000 photos on Flickr. I love taking pictures, always have.
My trusty camera bit the dust last night and I need a replacement.
The MUSTs are:
Has to take SD memory cards (I have a few 1GB ones)
Has to be rechargable itself, not just run on normal rechargeable AA batteries. I want an internal, built in, rechargeable battery so I can just charge it up at night with no hassles.
My last camera was a shitty 3 megapixel job and I loved it so it doesn't have to be crazily high-spec but taking good photos in low light without a flash is a MUST too.
Come on PRFers...

2dpreview.com is a good site with very in-depth reviews. They review high end DSLRs as well as point and shoots. You might want to reconsider your "musts" -- you might be missing out on some of the better cameras--but that's up to you.
Here's a good one that uses SD cards; highly rated and cheap too:

4I recently got the Casio Exilim-s880
It's cool. I don't even take pictures.

6Yeah, if you notice, they recommend the one I had that just broke. In the end I went for the Olympus Idon'thavethekindoftimetobeaninternetpolicemangeeklikeyou-shot. It's very warm and punchy.

7Canon have done a good job of making digital cameras and the point and shoots seem good as well as the DSLRs.
Other than that, some of the point and shoot Fujis (Z series I think) were supposed to be good for low light work as they could run up to ISO 1600 and still manage low noise. For gigs/nights out, something like that speed is probably necessary if you want to avoid flashes.
Check some of the DP review pages - they do noise tests in some cases.

8This Canon Powershot S5 is a nice camera for £219.
It is bulky but takes genuinely wonderful photos.
