Annoying. Handy once in a while. Man, fuck these pieces of shit. I'll never have one. I'm no snob, they're just wretched bits of machinery.
I'm tellin' ya. Try it. Sweet, sweet freedom. Michael McDonald style.
utter piece of shit: Cell phone
3I think I may die as a result of not having this phone.
Thicker than an iPhone, but it has a physical built in qwerty-style keyboard.

This is what I'm talikn' about! A sickness. An epidemic.

5They're handy. I usually find people who complain about them are people who have no practical use for them.
They're kind of essential for me though as I'm rarely at home to be near a landline.

7There's nothing wrong with the idea of a cell phone. The bill is typically cheaper than having a landline and it's handy when you're trying to coordinate something like a ride situation or meeting up before an event.
The thing that is annoying are people who find it appropriate to take a call in public or worse, hold down a conversation in public. The other problem I have is people using a cell phone like middle aged men use their car, as a status symbol. Cell phones are now a sad, pathetic outlet for vanity.
So I have no problems with cell phones, I just think we need to establish more etiquette with them.

There's nothing "status" about a cell these days. Anyone can get a Go-Phone. Go to Any Mall USA, especially in the ass end of town, and every other shlub you see is yakking on one. In fact, conspicuous cell use seems to be more "prole" than anything, as an extension of lack of etiquette in general. My experience is that cell phone use is actually *less* annoying in snooty places, believe it or not.

9I'm personally mortified to talk on my cell in public. It just seems rude.

10This has to be Europe-USA thing. Cell phones are far more popular than portable mp3 players here, and literally everyone has one. I hated them about 8 years ago when the GSM technology got cheap and withing a year everyone had one... now I'm a happy owner. I still find them irritating, though, but it's impossible to deny how functional they are.
NOT CRAP.
4 cause I still feel like there is something wrong with this concept. And for this
NOT CRAP.
