It's not that it's a "pussification" of anything, it's that it's utterly unnecessary.

I don't believe in a supreme being or creator. I am an atheist. The word suits me fine as it accurately describes my (dis)belief. Why make up a new one?

Take the Greek stem or "element" of "theist" and prefix "a" to it to make the good English word "atheist".

"Atheist" = "non-theist" or "non theist"

"Nontheist" is not a good English word.

It is, therefore, crap.

Not as bad as "brights", however crap.

Total crap. I think agnostic is a cop-out. Nontheist is even worse.

I like the word "brights". It's affirmative and encourage excellence.
It's a good word to define people whose worldview is free of supernatural and mystical elements.
