oh man laptops at these things drive me crazy. it's like the kid who takes his laptop to class and acts like he's taking notes while he plays snood... doesn't even have to act like he's taking notes, since staring at a computer screen to take notes is more or less the same expression as staring at the computer screen to play games.

anyhow, let the kids do that in school, but when i go to a show, i don't want to see any laptops. i'd only ever allow it for justin broadrick (who uses one these days from what i hear... gotta see jesu live someday).

i don't consider the laptop an instrument.
i hate circuit bent "instruments."
i hate the intentional bohemian look.

I don't really look for new music at all anymore and I do not feel bad about it whatsoever.

I'd rather buy books than records.

I fucking hate people who wear glasses for the look in addition to long hair and beards.

There needs to be more cigar smoking.

I'll use this accidental double post to say it:

Flaming Lips is for pseudo-hippies.

- I have no patience whatsoever for indie pop.

- Slint bores the hell out of me.

- I feel the Ramones are nothing special.

- The Pixies are waaaaaaaaay overrated.

- I want to punch people that dislike the Didjits.

Are the Pixies indie rock? I've never, ever liked their music.

I hate most new rap, indie- rap included. Token "NO, really, Atmosphere and All Natural are really good!" bands do nothing for me.

I do like those MF Doom records I have, though.

1. I saw Slint's only (I think) post-Spiderland Louisville appearance--prior to the reunion, I mean--but I was high on so much blow I don't really remember anything about it.

i lack the patience & motivation to listen to the kind of music that i make anymore.

this can be a really good thing or a really bad thing.

when i'm playing, i think it's funny to think of what the audience would think to see me screaming along to the fall or rapping with mf doom at home all day.
