man, I had this really long dream about me and like 7-8 random people that I know all having to hide out for an extended period of time in an abandoned movie theater because there was some sort of government crackdown or sweep or something and we were all wanted. I guess we were some underground group or something. we were still meeting and talking about resistance, etc. After a while I guess things calmed down or something because somebody showed up with a van and took us out for a ride, but we still had to be very careful and inconspicuous. I did notice that prices had skyrocketed. Gas was $12.00 and I saw a sign for hostess cupcakes being on special for $6.00. We must have still been under martial law or whatever also because there were checkpoints and cops everywhere. We had to pick this girl up from the train station and she said she was lucky to make it because she didn't have her papers and one of the agents asked for them but for some reason didn't arrest her on the spot like he should have when she couldn't produce the right documents. All in all the dream was super vivid and a lot more was going on, because it lasted all night. I woke up like 3 times in the middle of it, so it's hard to remember enough to put into words, but it was one of the more intense dreams I have had in a while.

Gosh had a weird one yesterday, i was walking through this dark house, jumping over huge puddles etc.... coming down some stairs i realize there is someone there, so I think I better pretend I'm a ghost ( WTF??) I make this sound OOOHHHHHH and put my hands out like some bad 1950's horror and the woman jumps and looks at me. Then I sort of apologize and take off.
I dunno, I just dunno....

I was supposed to be playing 2nd guitar for Shellac in concert last night with Emmanuel Cunt on bass.

The problems were that A Steve wouldn't tell me which songs we were going to be playing, B that I only know about 3 Shellac songs, C that I don't know how to play even these 3 Shellac songs, and D that each member of Shellac had a giant metallic dome to perch atop while playing, apart from me. It was Steve's intention that I should jump between the other member's domes and that they should attempt to knock me to the ground as I did so. For the amusement of the audience.

Steve would (pre-concert) occasionally show me how to play a part of a song, then (once I had mastered it) inform me that we wouldn't be playing that song.

EC was quite supportive, so thanks for that EC.

I awoke unrested. I pray for no further Steve-dreams. Steve is mean.
I walk these streets, a loaded six-string on my back.

So I'm buying weed from(for?) the "Marcus" guy played by Leo Fitzpatrick in Storytelling, the guy with cerebral palsy. Except that another part of his condition is he can't/won't stop molesting anyone in front of him. And he's got a police car. And he has captives in his house, which is a house out of the "Feral girl" thread. So i'm trying to get away from this flopping, twitching, fondling molesty gimp, who has a gun and stuff. Eventually some of his captives escape, but by then they're shambling mutarded zombies with bubbling foamy flesh. I escape through the swamp, into a quaint shopping village like Mystic Seaport or Nantucket or something, and the zombies are everywhere. Jeezus.

What is with the zombies?

I dream about them too.

Weird.

It all contributes to my theory that we are living in "Generation Z." Anyone who lived through or upon the result of the Reagan years, with the zombie mentality that spawned during that time, knows this fear. And the fims from the 70's, 80's and today, reflect the zeitgeist (again with the letter z) of homegrown terror, fear of strangers, your neighbors and even your own family.

Once bitten, twice Zombie!
