now thats something we can agree with. That punch to the head of Franzen was cheap as hell.. specially since it was Franzen's first game back from post concussion symptoms. The Penguids always thug it up when its obvious they're gonna lose, and watching Crysby whine about Osgood diving after the game was priceless.

something is obviously wrong with malkin. he's been showing signs, but for him to completely disappear, especially since detroit is in no way marking him the way the flyers did, he must be injured.

I actually thought that overall, last night, the penguins played a better team game. defensive responsibility and back checking have been outstanding the last two games. detroit has been limited to mostly taking shots from way out on the point upon entering the zone. add to that, the horrible aim of high and wide and man, they were lucky to win last night.

osgood won the game for them. fleury was average, but not the only reason why they lost. despite the questionable calls resulting in the 5 on 3 opportunity, pittsburgh couldn't convert. That's one reason why they lost. Hossa looked like the only elite player on the ice for pittsburgh. even though crosby scored two goals in the previous game, they were opportunistic goals and not created by his own actions. He's been good, especially with the defensive zone responsibilities, but hossa is clearly showing up crosby. Crosby also lost two key faceoffs in detroit's zone late in the game. he lost them cleanly. horrible.

pittsburgh is also not getting the bounces they were getting in the 3 previous series: the crossbar, and crosby's shot hitting zetterberg's skate are just two examples last night.

you could fairly say, zetterberg was more precise than crosby with the stopped puck. *zetterberg simply stopped crosby's shot from scoring. detroit has been more consistent, aggressive and accurate; reasoning for success-rate.

wings are playing exceptionally well. i have to say, pittsburgh/detroit is a blast to watch. can't wait for monday's game!
