44Usually, I try to judge artists on their works taken together as a whole. Suicide released many crappy albums after the debut; this would guarantee a crap vote from me.
However, I feel their first album is so monumental and revolutionary in its scope that Suicide, despite the garbage that followed, get a NOT CRAP from me.

49My band recently opened for Suicide here in Brooklyn. I felt pretty lucky to both (a) see them live and obviously (b) play the show. Seeing them around the time the first & second albums came out must have been amazing. This show was as close as I got, so I'm OK with that.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the excellent Vega / Pan Sonic collaboration that came out years ago.
