My new amp just came from the Best Ebayer Ever.

Not only did the Best Ebayer Ever charge a very reasonable £175 for this excellent Carlsbro valve combo from 1974, but he also threw in schematics and enough snazzy, flecked brown tolex to recover the entire thing, once I tire of the vinyl.

He also delivered the amp to my door.

Best. Ebayer. Ever.

re: the AIMS-

Guy told me it was quiet and distorted sounding, which doesn't match anything that anyone has ever told me about the AIMS amps, so i am going to go after all the pots with some Caig. It may need to be retubed, but we'll get to that when we have to.

He said it hasn't been turned on it two years, but I have a Vari-AC, so I will be bringing it up to full power gradually.

From his ad: "right now its just a glorified riser for my floor fan" and when I got there, he said "Yeah, it's SUPER heavy..."

and I wanted to say "OF COURSE it's heavy, it's full of ROCK!!1!!"

I am the king of the world... (for an afternoon, anyway.)

I hate you.

No, really.

I hate you.

Nobody knows about these amps, there will be one for next to nothing in your hood any day now.

Or maybe even today.
