I haven't yet, but I figure I may as well.

I know there's a second incident involving Marsup's wife, but I'm at work and can't read through all 14 pages of this thread right now. So I'll just stick to the roadrage incident and say good job. People are fucks, and often times those people are driving SUV's and talking on their cell phones, and not really giving a shit about other drivers or pedestrians around them. And then you punched one of them. I support it, again, good job. Maybe he'll be a little more courteous next time he's in a situation like that and just obey the rules of the line (or queue, or line-like-situation, or queue-like-situation, whatever). There's a line in one of the Robert Anton Wilson Illuminatus books about how maybe more frequent punches in the face might lead to fewer wars, and I think there may be something to that. You both walked away from it without serious damage, and you've both got something to think about. You're not going off about how great you are, and are willing to criticize yourself regarding the incident (while at the same time heaping more criticism and ridicule on the douchey driver, which is also ok). So, once again, good job.

I was exiting the WTC Path station the other day, during rush hour. And some other office working drone like me decided he should just push me, for no reason other than that our paths intersected and I was moving slightly faster, so I was in front of him. It wasn't a good push, all it really did was knock my backpack a little out of the way and tell me that someone was being aggressive towards me, but it was enough to piss me off, and enough to count as someone fucking with me. Sadly, we were at the escalators, and there are a shitload of cops at the top, so I had no recourse that would not lead to arrest. I went on my way and eventually stopped being annoyed. Anyway, fuck aggressive dicks who decide to fuck with you.

goddamn, that is a stupidass story. you're right about one thing though: fuck aggressive dicks. like ones who are itching to do something that would lead to arrest 'cause some guy bumped his backpack.

people who feel that they have been wronged by normal everyday stuff have a problem somewhere. i would suggest swallowing less shit, drone.

I guess before the thread completely dies, I'll add my 2 cents as well. I understand the action in question, but I really don't condone it. Personally, I would feel really bad about an hour after that incident. I think labeling a guy in a SUV on cell phone beeping his horn as a deserving asshole is a bit short sighted. You don't know this man - you don't know what his frame of mind is and how he got to that point. You have a snapshot of that person at that moment in time.

I honestly believe at some moment in time we're all the guy in the SUV. We are the jagoff we want to punch. I've never felt good about punching someone - it really disturbs me more. But I understand the urge.

I guess I would sort of hope that if Marsup had a chance to do it all over again that he might handle it differently.

So Sup punched a dickhead. Not the smartest thing to do, but from the situation Sup described, he deserved it. It's pretty silly to argue about.

I now have my own story to add to this thread.

I was at lunch, driving down the road. A car in front of me is turning, so I signal to get into the other lane. Just before I move over, another car zips past me at a high rate of speed; he probably saw me moving over, and decided to get past me before I do so. I raise up my arm, in the "what the fuck position", and the guy sees this, and apparently mistakes it for the finger. Now, he won't let me move over, does the speed up and slow down thing, and wants me to pull alongside him. Eventually, at the next light, I have no choice but to be next to him, and the big guido douchebag starts saying shit, obviously wanting to fight. Eventually, he gets out of his car, and walks over to the passenger side of my vehicle, and reaches in, upon which I swing at him with the steering wheel lock I keep in my car, to get him to back off, and do not actually hit him. He then gets back in his car, and drives off. It may be that I overreacted at first, maybe I didn't see him at first when I wanted to move over, but he way over-reacted, and never should have gotten out of his car.

Even though I know you don't approve Marsup, I did get his plate number, and I did call 911, even though the confrontation was over. It was in the suburbs, the cops out there are more likely to check it out, and I'm kind of hoping they make him have a real bad day. I also thought, if this guy would so easily want to get in a fight with me, he would be likely to do the same thing with someone else.
