So, what did all the hooky players do, post-show?

Katye and Tocharian, I forgot to tell you that they would yell at you if you smoke within Pritzker Pavillion. Hopefully you two didn't get kicked out 8-)

Maybe they yell at other people, but they don't yell at me and tocharion cause they're afraid to interrupt such obviously cool ladies enjoying a couple few smokes outside at a great concert.

The highlight for me was that clarinet magic. Wildness!

The old man was wonderful. That kinda made my day. I saw him after the show and told him I enjoyed his dancing. He said something a little hard to understand along the lines of "Yeah! I got up at 9:00 and got to hear some music so that's pretty good." I told him I hope I'm still getting out and seeing shows when I'm his age.

I shot a few short videos and will upload them to YouTube soon. Shot a buncha pix too.

Really, I want to play my flute and horn the second I get home.

I get that as well. Then the reality of my lack of musical skills sets in. A lot of bands inspire. The really good ones just put me to shame. I don't mean that I won't pick up my bass or guitar and noodle when I get home. I'm just sadly acknowledging the gulf that lies between the truly gifted art of others and the crappy songs I struggle to write.
